What it does

CoreLogic Credco data on the Salesforce record where you need it.

Credco™ Credit Reports from Cotality (formerly CoreLogic) give lenders a tri-merge view of borrower credit. If you have a Cotality account, LASER Credit Access lets your team order a Credco report with Experian, TransUnion and Equifax data, depending on the bureaus enabled on your login. Order it from a Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity or custom loan record with the Get Credit Report button, or automatically through a Salesforce Flow.

The credit report comes back as structured Salesforce data, not just a document: tradelines, payment history, addresses and public records on a Personal Credit Report linked to the record you ordered from. The PDF is always saved with the report, and it can also attach to that record when you turn the setting on. That way the file, the data and the decision stay together.

Reissue, upgrade and ForceNew

Work from an existing file number. Reissue recalls the same report, Upgrade runs more or fewer bureaus on it, and ForceNew orders a fresh report when you add or remove a co-applicant.

The bureaus on your Cotality login

Tick Experian, TransUnion and Equifax on the credential, and their data comes back in the CoreLogic Credco report. Add a co-applicant on the same pull.

Hard pull or soft pull reports

Set the default report type on the Cotality login: Merge, which is a hard pull, or a soft pull for prequalifying a borrower. A user or an automation can override it for any single pull.

Parsed data and the PDF

Trade accounts, payment history, addresses and public records land in Salesforce objects your team can report on. The PDF is saved on the Personal Credit Report, and it attaches to the record you pulled from when the Attach Credit Report PDF to source record setting is turned on.

Duplicate control and a record of every pull

Reuse a recent report inside a window you set, from 1 to 90 days. A successful pull creates a Personal Credit Report; a failed one creates a Credit Report Log with the error.

OFAC screening with the pull

Run an OFAC check when the report is requested, or run the credit pull only when no match is found. Results flag potential matches for a person to review.

Cotality is one of several credit providers in LASER Credit Access

Pull from the provider your credit policy calls for, without a separate integration for each. See the full list of bureaus and agencies on the credit partners page.

How it works

Four steps from install to first CoreLogic Credco pull.

1

Install the managed package

LASER Credit Access installs from the Salesforce AgentExchange under the LASERCA namespace. It works in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and custom Lightning orgs.

2

Add your Cotality login and certificate

In Configuration, open Data Providers and the Cotality (CoreLogic Credco) tab. Enter the username and password issued to you, tick the bureaus to include, choose the default report type (hard pull or soft pull), and use demo mode to test before you go live. LASER Credit Access supplies the certificate file the connection needs; a Salesforce admin imports it once.

3

Map fields and set permissions

Match applicant name, address, SSN and birthdate to your Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity or custom loan object. Decide which users can pull with the Cotality login.

4

Pull from any record

Click Get Credit Report, or automate it with a Flow, a scheduled pull or a Portfolio Review batch. The report and its parsed data attach to the record.

Frequently asked questions

Common CoreLogic Credco Salesforce questions.

How do I connect CoreLogic Credco to Salesforce?

Install LASER Credit Access, a Salesforce-native managed package (namespace LASERCA), then add your login on the Cotality (CoreLogic Credco) tab under Configuration and Data Providers. A Salesforce admin imports the certificate file LASER Credit Access provides, and once the fields are mapped your team can order credit reports from Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity or custom loan records with standard Salesforce permissions.

What is the difference between Cotality, CoreLogic and Credco?

Cotality is the company, formerly CoreLogic. Credco is the credit report product, and it kept its name through the change. Existing documentation and many lenders still say CoreLogic Credco, so this page uses both names for the same Credco credit reports.

Which actions can I take on an existing CoreLogic Credco report?

Reissue, Upgrade and ForceNew, using the file number from the original pull. Reissue recalls the same report. Upgrade runs more or fewer bureaus on it. ForceNew orders a new report, which is how you add or remove a co-applicant.

Does LASER support CoreLogic Credco soft pulls?

Yes. Set the soft pull as the default report type on the Cotality login, or choose it for a single pull. Merge is the hard-pull option. A soft pull is still a consumer report, so it needs a permissible purpose, and the consumer's written instructions are one of several possible permissible purposes.

Which credit bureaus can a CoreLogic Credco report include?

Experian, TransUnion and Equifax, as ticked on your Cotality login. You can include a co-applicant on the same request.

Can I test before I use real credit pulls?

Yes. Turn on demo mode for the login and requests go to the test environment instead of production. Debug mode attaches the response to the Credit Report Log so an admin can read it.

Can I automate CoreLogic Credco credit pulls?

Yes. LASER Credit Access exposes an invocable action for Salesforce Flow and an Apex method that accepts CORELOGIC as the provider. You can also schedule repeat pulls on one org-wide interval of 3, 6 or 12 months, or run a Portfolio Review to pull for many records at once.

Do I need my own Cotality account?

Yes. LASER Credit Access connects to your account with the username and password issued to you. Your agreement with Cotality stays between you and Cotality.
